JULY 1 SAILPAST & REGATTA SET FOR TUESDAY

     Get out your water wings. It’s Canada Day and time for fun and frivolity afloat (followed by food) for the Umpteenth Annual July 1 Thetis Island Yacht Club Sail past & Regatta.

     Sail, paddle, motor, row, swim or stitch a kicker onto your shorts to circumnavigate the islands of tent, Kuper and Thetis (that’s counter-clockwise) before anchoring offshore or beaching your scow on Hunter’s Beach for dinner and an evening of music.

     The regatta sets sail from Thetis Island Marina & Pub at 1:30 p.m. And for added adventure, pack a few water balloons to dampen attempts of pirates overtaking your position in the round-the-island cruise.
