THETIS PUBLIC HAS A DATE WITH NEW FLAME ON MAY 10

Aggressive Fire Safety will be delivering an exciting hands-on seminar on how to use a fire extinguisher correctly and safely. They will be bringing their “BullEx ITS Xtreme” training system, which can simulate stove top flare-up, trash-can inferno and other fires with real flames.

Everyone is invited to attend this short but valuable training, sponsored by the TIVFD at no cost, starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at the Central Fire Hall. It will involve handling and operating a fire extinguisher so if the time comes when you really need one, you will be calm and experienced and won’t need glasses to read the instructions!

Following the workshop, AFS will be on hand to inspect and service your home extinguishers and answer any questions. Extinguishers should be inspected yearly, so check the last inspection date on yours, and bring it along to the fire hall if it has been more than a year since purchased or serviced. There will also be home extinguishers available to purchase and expert advice for placement etc.

As an incentive to entice you to this important and educational safety seminar, the TIVFD will be giving away prizes.
